AbelCine’s Professional Camera and Technology Workshops
Now Available to Audiences Worldwide
Burbank, CA – December 6, 2013 -– Today, AbelCine announced the launch of online workshops through their website, training.abelcine.com. These new online classes are based on the highly successful workshops presented at the company’s New York City and Burbank, CA locations.
AbelCine Training focuses on education at all levels of professional production technology – cameras, optics, audio, lighting, workflows and post solutions. A strong emphasis is placed on practical information that can be put to use immediately in the field.
“Since we opened the Training Department a few years ago, one of the most frequent requests we’ve received is to offer our classes online in a virtual form,” said Andy Shipsides, Director of Education at AbelCine. “Now, customers who aren’t located near our New York or Burbank locations can receive the same unbiased, practical instruction we provide in our in-person workshops. And attendees of our inperson workshops can gain access to the online version to review what they’ve learned.”
The online workshops are recorded live during in-person training classes, so they offer the same high caliber of instruction. Individuals who enroll in an online workshop will receive unlimited access to their respective class page for three months, as well as the ability to download class recordings and related materials.
The workshops offered at launch are AbelCine’s popular Digital Technician and Digital Cinema series classes, with many more to follow shortly. To celebrate the launch of online training, AbelCine is offering special introductory pricing on all workshops.
In the coming months, AbelCine plans to add a community forum for both online and in-person classes. This will allow attendees to ask questions, and continue the workshop discussion with both class instructors and fellow participants.
AbelCine Training has experienced significant growth since its launch in 2010. The company now offers over fifty different workshops and produces several free events each month on both coasts. AbelCine also offers consultation and customized training for institutions and industry associations. In this capacity, their institutional client list includes: Food Network, National Geographic, NBC, Disney, Columbia University, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, School of Visual Arts, and Local 600.
