New Camera: Panasonic AG-DVX200

Today at NAB, Panasonic announced a new large-single-sensor 4K handheld: the AG-DXV200:

Specs: 4K 60p capable, 4/3″ imager, fixed 13x Leica Dicomar lens, 5-axis stabilization, 12 stops latitude, requires UHS Speed Class 3 SD card for 4K recording, V-Log gamma curve. Available in the fall of 2015 for a suggested price under US$5,000.

Handholdable, but not tiny.

Looks to be bulkier than the HVX200 was.

No word on weight, and no hands-on: it’s a mockup. Interesting how they’ve invoked the memory of the AG-DVX100 24P SD DV camcorder of 11 years ago or so… More when I know more.

Disclosure: I attended the Panasonic NAB press conference, and this is what I saw. No material connection to Panasonic; no bribes of any sort paid (sadly enough) to get me to write this up.
