Users can upload Batch Files or Individual Videos to Vimeo® Straight from Their Desktop
NEW YORK, (PhotoPlus Expo, Booth #674) Oct. 19, 2009 – Anyone who has uploaded a video onto the web knows that it can often be a time-consuming process. Vimeo.com, one of the most respected and inspiring video hosting sites, today helps solve that problem with its new Desktop Uploader software. Vimeo will be on-hand to demonstrate its new Desktop Uploader software at the 2009 PhotoPlus Expo at the Jacob Javits Convention Center Oct. 22- 24, booth #674.
Vimeo Desktop Uploader streamlines the way content creators upload their videos to the site. Based on an Adobe Air desktop tool, the Vimeo Desktop Uploader allows users to upload multiple videos at the same time— up to ten at once! Creators can edit titles, tags and descriptions from within the software. Not only will Vimeo users avoid browser time-outs, but they can pause and resume their video uploads without having to start over from the beginning.

In the coming weeks, the site also plans to launch an advanced statistics function to its Vimeo Plus members. The stats feature provides extensive data on user-videos, both in aggregate and individually, including:
- Daily breakdowns of likes, plays, comments HD vs SD plays, loads and finishes;
- Awesome referrer data;
- Share and download stats;
- Geo stats (see where people are watching from); and more!
